NMC increases in MBBS Seats for 2025: UG NEET Round-2 of UG Counselling to Begin on 29th August

According to the latest update from the National Medical Commission (NMC), the process of increasing MBBS seats (approximately 4000-6000) for the upcoming academic session of 2025 is currently underway. This expansion aims to accommodate a larger number of medical students across the country.

As part of this initiative, the newly authorised MBBS seats will be included in Round 2 of UG Counselling for 2025. To accommodate this change, the competent authority has tentatively scheduled the start of Round 2 to begin on 29th August 2025.
